A maani of the female puppet of the Sogo-Bò puppet theater of the Bambara / Bozo people. The elaborate hairstyle suggests the character of the woman's favorite and benign barabara (as opposed to the evil Galomuso woman).
The Sogo bò doll theater is still widespread in the Bamana tribal area and has an entertainment character, often with moral approaches, representing a comprehensive dance and vocal performance.
It is made of wood sculpted and pigmented.
